Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop comprehensive treatment plans for adult and geriatric clients facing orthopedic challenges. Implement individualized therapeutic interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility, while evaluating and modifying approaches based on continuous patient progress. Document care meticulously in compliance with state regulations and educate patients on exercise regimens and health management strategies. Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians to ensure alignment with service standards. Work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a Bakersfield facility equipped with state-of-the-art therapy equipment.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of California
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proven ability to operate physical therapy equipment safely
- Proven ability to conduct thorough functional evaluations
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Experience with advanced treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic modalities
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems and documentation practices
