Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, utilizing diagnostic tests to create tailored treatment plans. Direct individualized physical therapy focused on enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function. Implement and supervise therapeutic exercises, teach clients non-manual exercises, and administer manual therapy techniques including traction and massage. Fit and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, ensuring proper alignment and recommending modifications to physicians when necessary. Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records and consult with other health professionals as needed. Primarily serve patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain, and mobility issues. Work onsite at Thriving Journey Therapy in Clearwater, FL, within a collaborative rehabilitation center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in orthopedic care, geriatrics, or outpatient therapy
- Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment and treatment, along with patient care planning skills
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certifications or specialized training in orthopedic physical therapy, manual therapy, or rehabilitation technologies
- Experience with patient management in a multi-disciplinary team setting
