Job Summary
Assess patient needs and establish individualized treatment goals for a caseload of orthopedic patients recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain. Manage approximately one hour per individual session, developing and implementing treatment plans that utilize manual therapy, exercise protocols, and modalities to improve range of motion, strength, and mobility. Design personalized fitness regimens, document all care services accurately in the WebPT EMR system, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated recovery. Evaluate treatment outcomes to adjust care plans based on patient progress while motivating clients toward optimal functioning.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid physical therapy license in New Jersey, with no history of disciplinary actions
- Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development
- Ability to utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Additional certifications in specialty therapeutic techniques
- Previous experience in a fast-paced orthopedic outpatient environment
