Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to specific needs. Maintain customer service excellence while engaging in collaborative approaches with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Provide patient education on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs to empower active participation in recovery. Work with a diverse population including orthopedic surgery, pediatric, neurologic, and sports injury cases to improve mobility and manage pain. Achieve utilization targets that align with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited institution
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Ability to establish rapport with patients and their families
- Strong commitment to community involvement and relationship-building within the Syracuse area
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic, pediatric, or sports therapy settings
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Previous exposure to interdisciplinary care models
