Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' physical therapy needs and establish clear, achievable treatment goals. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, with a focus on enhancing range of motion, strength, and endurance. Deliver individualized therapy sessions while maintaining a patient load of one patient per hour, incorporating manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens tailored to each patient's lifestyle. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and document progress accurately using EMR software like WebPT. The role involves working onsite Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM with a team of two physical therapists and one PTA. Primary patient population includes individuals with orthopedic issues, postoperative recovery, and chronic pain management, predominantly covered by private medical insurance.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California
- No history of board or disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing effective exercise programs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, especially WebPT
- Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings
- Hands-on experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques
