Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with orthopedic disabilities, developing individualized treatment plans. Provide expert consultation to coordinate patient care, educate families on home exercise programs, and utilize therapeutic modalities while documenting responses. Maintain clear communication with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, and engage in community outreach. Submit charges for services rendered and ensure documentation meets regulatory standards. Participate in leadership activities such as mentoring support staff, clinical education, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records systems
- Minimum of two years of prior experience in orthopedic physical therapy
