Job Summary
Implement direct physical therapy interventions to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and optimize muscle function according to prescribed care plans. Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels, assess home environments for modifications, and deliver individualized services at the clinic or client's home. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, fit and adjust prosthetic devices, and maintain accurate clinical documentation including OASIS compliance. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and engage clients and families in consultations to optimize adherence to therapy regimens. This full-time role at Pinnacle Flex Wellness Clinic in Des Plaines focuses on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions within a collaborative outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
- Active physical therapy licensure in the state of practice.
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapist, ideally in acute or home care settings.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficient understanding of federal, state, and regulatory guidelines governing physical therapy practices.
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities, showcasing an emphasis on patient/family engagement.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical documentation.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy environments.
- Familiarity with using electronic health record systems for documentation and patient management.
- Prior experience mentoring or supervising physical therapy assistants.
