Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy interventions to restore movement and functionality for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries. Evaluate patient functional abilities using diagnostic tests, administer manual therapeutic exercises, and fit and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, develop comprehensive care plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. Participate in case conferences with the interdisciplinary team and provide educational support to patients and families regarding therapeutic techniques. This role focuses on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation in Silver Spring, Maryland, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and a concierge-style approach to help patients regain independence.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, valid PT licensure in the state of Maryland, with a commitment to maintaining licensure and certification.
- At least one year of experience in physical therapy, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
- Valid CPR certification and a clean driving record.
- Strong dedication to clinical excellence, integrity, and patient-centered care.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for effective patient engagement and family support.
- High energy and motivation, with a commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
- Proficient understanding of relevant regulations and best practices in physical therapy.
