Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic conditions. Implement and direct physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound, while overseeing treatment execution by physical therapy assistants. Regularly assess patient progress, adapt plans based on ongoing evaluations, and maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policy. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to case conferences to optimize patient care outcomes. Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and safe practices to promote independence.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Florida
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred
- Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification
- Background in manual therapy techniques
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies
