Job Summary
Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic injuries and surgeries. Implement therapeutic modalities, manual therapy techniques, and exercise programs to enhance mobility and support recovery. Manage the patient caseload while maintaining meticulous EMR documentation and advocating for cost-effective, non-surgical treatment options. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons and occupational therapists to optimize care for athletes and individuals with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Work onsite in San Diego from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- An active Physical Therapist license in California, with a clean professional record free from sanctions.
- Skilled in manual therapy techniques and a demonstrated ability to create and implement effective exercise programs for varied patient populations.
- Familiar with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
- A commitment to staying updated with the latest research and methodologies in physical therapy practices.
- Standard working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
- Background in sports rehabilitation would be advantageous.
- Proven success in patient engagement and retention strategies.
