Job Summary
Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities, limitations, and goals for therapy. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing orthopedic conditions using evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously using EMR software such as Web PT while providing education and guidance on home exercises and lifestyle choices. Continuously reassess patient needs and adjust treatment programs based on progress, collaborating closely with physicians and occupational therapists to create integrated care strategies. Work 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, in an outpatient clinic setting serving patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's or higher degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
- Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities relevant to orthopedic care
- Proven ability to design and implement exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs and rehabilitation goals
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, to ensure accurate documentation
- Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy interventions and research-supported practices
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings or similar environments
