Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries using therapeutic modalities and techniques. Develop individualized treatment plans addressing unique needs, then implement interventions like manual therapy, exercise regimens, and patient education to maximize mobility and pain relief. Document treatments in detail, conduct regular assessments to update goals, and assist patients with appropriate assistive devices. Provide education to patients, caregivers, and families regarding self-management strategies and lifestyle modifications. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and seminars to stay updated on industry trends. This full-time role is onsite at our modern outpatient office in Portsmouth, VA, offering a competitive salary of $100,000 to $120,000.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice within Virginia
- Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- basic computer proficiency
- Demonstrable flexibility and adaptability in approaching patient care and treatment modifications
