Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions to craft personalized treatment plans for orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and adaptive equipment training while conducting home assessments to enhance patient independence. Collaborate with physical therapy assistants on multidisciplinary case conferences and provide supervision and mentorship to ensure adherence to established protocols. Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and educate patients and families on lifestyle modifications to support long-term recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in home healthcare or outpatient orthopedic therapy.
- Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technologies common in physical therapy practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
