Job Summary
Direct and implement physical therapy treatments to alleviate pain, prevent disability, and restore muscle function per individualized care plans. Evaluate patients' functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests on muscles, nerves, and joints. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, document all patient interactions and progress in electronic medical records, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to report status changes to physicians. Administer treatments including traction and massage, design manual therapeutic exercises, and instruct patients on non-manual activities and device usage. Assess home environments for rehabilitation needs and guide families in rehabilitation programs. This full-time role focuses on patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and chronic pain within our state-of-the-art facility in Little Falls, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in orthopedic physical therapy
- Current CPR certification

- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
