Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients referred by physicians and design individualized treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations. Utilize various modalities to facilitate rehabilitation for orthopedic disorders and offer guidance to patients and caregivers on self-management. Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss progress and refine approaches while maintaining accurate EHR records. Perform high-quality therapeutic interventions to enhance functional abilities for diverse populations including post-surgical, sports injury, and chronic condition clients. Achieve departmental benchmarks for utilization rates and quality assurance objectives. Full-time role in Ashburn, VA with annual salary between USD 100,000 and 120,000.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current and valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia
- A minimum of two years of experience in the field of physical therapy, specifically in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer skills for documentation and patient management
- A strong ability to foster therapeutic relationships with patients and their caregivers, facilitating their involvement in the treatment process
- A genuine enthusiasm for connecting with patients, helping them to achieve and exceed their functional potential
