Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain. Conduct thorough functional evaluations using manual testing and assess home environments for safety recommendations. Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities while educating families on home programs. Provide direct supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings. Monitor patient progress, document clinical records, and adjust treatment plans in consultation with physicians. Work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Red Bank, NJ, with a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy program
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher
- A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist
- Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in New Jersey
- Commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing
- Certification in CPR
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Ability to make informed decisions
- Capacity to take responsibility for actions in a fast-paced therapeutic setting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or related specialties
- Familiarity with OASIS documentation and standards
