Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' functional needs and rehabilitation goals, then manage a caseload treating one patient per hour. Design and implement individualized treatment plans using advanced manual therapy techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain. Provide education on conditions and self-management strategies while developing tailored fitness programs. Document all interactions in compliance with standards and monitor progress to refine future plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Washington, DC
- Clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license
- Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques, strengthening exercises, and rehabilitation methods
- Strong knowledge and proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Experience with diverse populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Background in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment protocols
