Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on specific diagnoses and physician referrals. Implement therapeutic techniques and modalities to address orthopedic conditions, continuously monitoring progress and adapting approaches as necessary. Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to exchange insights and train patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and preventative measures. Contribute to meeting minimum utilization goals and streamline clinic operations for maximum efficiency. This role focuses primarily on orthopedic conditions, including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic mobility issues.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in word processing and electronic health records
- Experience with pediatric and sports medicine cases
- Previous work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Hands-on techniques and knowledge of advanced treatment modalities
