Job Summary
Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, ensuring all therapeutic procedures are executed with safety and professional excellence. Conduct thorough patient evaluations and chart reviews to provide feedback that supports patient progress and outcomes. Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to enhance treatment efficacy and patient understanding. Document all patient interactions, treatment modifications, and progress accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with facility policies. Assist in educating patients and their families regarding treatment plans, exercise regimens, and the importance of ongoing rehabilitation after discharge. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address issues influencing patient care and recovery dynamics. Maintain a clean and safe working environment while managing a patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour to ensure focused care.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- A current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Oregon
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for providing quality patient care with a compassionate and motivational approach
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings
- Exposure to exercise rehabilitation
- Exposure to manual therapy techniques
- Exposure to sports therapy
- Familiarity with current therapeutic modalities and techniques typically employed in physical therapy practices
- Demonstrated history of collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
