Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient objectives and develop tailored treatment plans for orthopedic patients recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Manage a caseload averaging one patient per hour by utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and functional independence. Monitor progress rigorously, modify treatment plans as necessary, and educate patients throughout their journey while implementing alternative solutions to medications and surgeries. Document all services thoroughly to ensure compliance and facilitate communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within our DC rehabilitation facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid Physical Therapist license in Washington, DC, free from disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a private practice setting
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and coding for physical therapy services
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or disciplines (e.g., sports therapy, dry needling)
