Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient objectives and develop tailored treatment plans for orthopedic clients recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical procedures, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Manage a caseload of one patient per hour using advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to promote mobility and functional independence. Monitor progress rigorously, modify plans as necessary, and educate patients to foster a proactive rehabilitation approach while minimizing reliance on medications or surgeries. Document all services thoroughly to ensure compliance and facilitate seamless team communication, collaborating with physicians and other professionals for comprehensive care. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot rehabilitation facility in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid Physical Therapist license in Washington, DC, free from disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a private practice setting
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and coding for physical therapy services
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or disciplines (e.g., sports therapy, dry needling)
