Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patient objectives and develop tailored treatment plans for orthopedic patients recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Manage a caseload averaging one patient per hour by utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and alternative solutions to medications or surgeries. Monitor progress rigorously to modify treatment plans, educate patients on their recovery journey, and document all services thoroughly for compliance and team communication. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create multidisciplinary care approaches. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within our 5,000 square foot rehabilitation facility in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid Physical Therapist license in Washington, DC, free from disciplinary actions
- Demonstrated clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a private practice setting
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and coding for physical therapy services
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or disciplines (e.g., sports therapy, dry needling)
