Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify individual goals and needs related to orthopedic conditions. Manage a patient caseload by engaging directly with one patient per hour to provide focused care. Create comprehensive care plans utilizing various treatment modalities to address therapeutic goals and implement evidence-based interventions for improving range of motion, strength, and function. Educate patients on their conditions and treatment options while documenting all interactions and progress to ensure continuity. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance holistic treatment and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- A clean and unblemished professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions
- Proficient in manual therapy techniques
- Knowledgeable about a range of therapeutic modalities
- Strong skills in developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to meet patient needs
- Experienced with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Experience in developing patient-centered wellness and fitness programs that encompass strength, flexibility, and coordination training
- Familiarity with interprofessional collaboration to optimize patient outcomes
