Job Summary
Conduct initial evaluations by reviewing medical histories and performing physical assessments to identify tailored treatment protocols. Design and implement individualized plans utilizing therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance patient mobility. Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting protocols as needed to align with recovery goals. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and preventative strategies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians to ensure comprehensive care and appropriate follow-up. Maintain meticulous documentation for all interactions in compliance with regulations. Participate in facility meetings to foster a cooperative work environment. This role focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and sports-related conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Active state licensure in Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Familiarity with the latest evidence-based practices in orthopedic rehabilitation
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
