Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical function, strength, and mobility to determine effective treatment strategies for orthopedic conditions. Develop and implement personalized therapy programs utilizing manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular reeducation, and specialized modalities to restore function and reduce pain. Educate patients and families on rehabilitation strategies, injury prevention, and home exercise regimens while collaborating with physicians, case managers, and nurses to optimize treatment plans. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes. Work onsite at our Bellingham Rehabilitation Center with a diverse population recovering from postoperative procedures, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Washington
- A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution
- Proven clinical competency in orthopedic and sports medicine settings
- A strong understanding of evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for empowering patients to achieve meaningful recovery and independence
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work independently to meet patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in outpatient orthopedic settings
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Continued education and certifications in specialized treatments or therapies
