Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify individual patient goals and treatment needs for orthopedic conditions. Define and implement personalized treatment plans, managing a caseload of one patient per hour while utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques to improve range of motion and strength. Engage in hands-on sessions, document all interactions in adherence to regulatory standards, and evaluate strategies based on patient progress. Motivate patients by developing tailored fitness and wellness programs to promote self-sufficiency. This full-time role at our Winter Haven facility serves diverse populations, including athletes and post-surgical adults, with a team of two experienced therapists and one PTA.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- A clean professional record without any history of disciplinary actions
- Proven expertise in manual therapy and rehabilitation techniques
- Strong background in developing and implementing exercise protocols specific to orthopedic care
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, such as WebPT
- Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Demonstrated success in managing a diverse caseload with varying degrees of injury severity
- Experience in patient education concerning wellness and injury prevention strategies
- Effective communication skills that foster patient trust and promote best practices in rehabilitation
