Job Summary
Evaluate and assess new patients to determine physical therapy needs and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based rehabilitation techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to enhance patient recovery. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed while educating patients and families on injury prevention and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations and progress notes in compliance with legal guidelines. Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements. Work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in sports rehabilitation
- Experience in post-operative care
- Familiarity with specialized rehabilitation software
