Job Summary
Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals and capabilities through one-on-one consultations, then provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques to enhance motion and mobility. Monitor progress regularly to adjust treatment plans, implement cost-effective strategies to reduce medication and surgical reliance, and create individualized fitness programs promoting strength, flexibility, and balance. Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining accurate documentation in the Athena Health EMR system. Work onsite at our 5,000-square-foot rehabilitation center serving orthopedic patients, including athletes and post-surgical individuals, primarily under commercial or private pay.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Florida State license to practice physical therapy
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Current knowledge of treatment practices and techniques applicable to orthopedic rehabilitation
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Experience in sports rehabilitation
- Working with diverse populations across various age groups
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Athena Health
