Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Job Summary

Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to craft individualized care plans and provide one-on-one therapy sessions with approximately 40 minutes of focused attention per patient. Implement diverse treatment techniques to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall physical function while employing evidence-based practices to motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care strategies, document all patient interactions and progress notes accurately, and create tailored fitness and wellness programs promoting long-term health. Work onsite at our rehabilitation center in Appomattox, Virginia, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, supporting individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and sports-related ailments.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • A valid Virginia State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • An innate desire for continuous learning and professional growth within the field of physical therapy
  • In-depth clinical expertise in current treatment practices and methodologies relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Experience in utilizing specific rehabilitation technologies and tools to aid in patient recovery
  • Capability to manage a high caseload effectively while maintaining quality, personalized patient care
  • Familiarity with documenting and maintaining patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate degrees (MS or DPT)
  • Experience in utilizing specific rehabilitation technologies and tools to aid in patient recovery
