Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify individual goals and needs, creating tailored rehabilitation plans for orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Manage a consistent patient load with one-on-one, hour-long treatment sessions while utilizing manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise regimens. Provide ongoing motivation and support throughout the rehabilitation journey, fostering positive therapeutic relationships and minimizing reliance on medication through non-surgical alternatives. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, maintain thorough documentation in electronic medical records, and develop customized fitness and wellness programs. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm within a 5,000-square-foot sports medicine center in Danville, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia with no board or disciplinary actions on record
- Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems like WebPT
