Job Summary
Assess patient goals through comprehensive evaluations and manage a caseload delivering one-on-one therapy sessions for orthopedic conditions. Implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing manual therapy and biomechanics to improve mobility and pain management. Educate patients on their role in recovery, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans while maintaining accurate documentation. Collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and one PTA to foster a multidisciplinary approach to care. This role supports recovery for individuals with private medical insurance seeking treatment for post-surgical rehabilitation and sports injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
- No disciplinary actions or board actions against the license.
- Strong manual therapy skills complemented by an understanding of biomechanics.
- Competence in developing individualized exercise programs tailored to patient-specific goals.
- Familiarity and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Software, such as WebPT.
- Full-time employment status.
- Onsite work location at the rehabilitation facility in Hampton, VA.
