Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care in the Orthopedic Operating Room, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans. Documents care accurately, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize patient interactions. Functions as a resource for colleagues, delegates appropriately using the Synergy Model, and works effectively with the interdisciplinary team. Assists in orienting staff and students, identifies needs for policy revisions, and analyzes data to improve patient care and meet organizational standards. Shifts include 6:30a - 3:00p or 11a - 7p.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience within the past five years
- Current LPNs employed within the Emory Healthcare (EHC) system who have completed an accredited RN program and obtain RN licensure
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education program
- Certification in Wound Care and Ostomy Care within 12 months of entering the role
- Travel may be required
