Job Summary
Orthopedic Nurse Navigator for a travel nursing assignment provides care coordination and education for joint replacement patients from pre-operative class through recovery, and supports development, implementation, and evaluation of the Joint Replacement Program. Requires BSN, CA RN license, 4+ years of clinical nursing experience (orthopedics preferred), Epic experience, BLS, ONC certification (preferred), and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. Assignment is 13 weeks in Salinas, CA, with day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), Mon-Fri, and travel/nurse navigation responsibilities across pre- to post-operative care with patient and family education and coordination with clinical staff.
Required Qualifications
- BSN completion required
- California license (required for submission)
- Minimum 12 months nursing experience with 3 months in last 12 months; 48 months Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience
- 6 months Epic experience within last 12 months
- Licensure as a registered nurse in CA
- Orthopedic Nurse Certified (ONC) and Basic Life Support (BLS) credentials preferred
- Clinical nursing experience with at least four years for program development and implementation
- Strong knowledge of TJC Disease-Specific and regulatory requirements
