Orthopedic Medical Assistant – Triage

Perform structured telephone and electronic triage for orthopedic patients, assessing acute injuries, post-operative concerns, pain escalations, and neurologic symptoms. Identify red flags and escalate appropriately to the RN or provider while providing standardized post-operative guidance and patient education. Coordinate urgent appointments, imaging, and referrals, then document all interactions accurately in the EMR to support efficient workflow and reduce unnecessary provider interruptions. This role serves as the first clinical point of contact at OrthoAtlanta, the largest independent physician-owned orthopedic practice in Georgia, ensuring safe and timely management of musculoskeletal concerns.
