Orthopedic Associate Sales Representative, Sports Medicine

Job Summary

Meet and exceed sales objectives for your assigned territory by building strong business relationships with surgeons and healthcare professionals. Consult surgeons in the operating room regarding Arthrex products, technologies, and minimally invasive spine techniques, while maintaining expert knowledge of allograft materials and endoscopic approaches. Implement effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively, cross-sell additional products, and address account problems. Collect competitive data, participate in sales meetings outside regular hours, and maintain training in sales skills and product features. Adhere to all compliance policies, privacy standards, and licensure requirements while lifting up to 35 pounds regularly.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex
  • Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures
  • Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures
  • MS Office
  • Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90)
  • Commission-driven individual
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-assurance and competitive drive
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility for them
  • Current driver's license
  • Access to your own transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis

Desired Qualifications

  • spine experience preferred
  • Experience with or knowledge of endoscopic spine procedures, minimally invasive spine surgery, and related technologies preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market
  • Knowledge of spine products and procedures, including allograft materials for bone and soft tissue substitution, augmentation, plasma rich protein products for indicated use throughout the body, and endoscopic approaches to the treatment of spine pathology
  • Prior sales experience is a plus
