Job Summary
Evaluate patients, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic procedures. Perform joint injections, splinting, and casting while collaborating effectively with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Maintain active New York State NP or PA licensure, NCCPA certification, and DEA registration. Requires current BLS and ACLS certification. New graduates with less than one year of clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NCCPA for PAs).
- Valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical rotation or previous experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, emergency medicine, or surgical services.
- Experience performing joint injections, splinting, casting, or other orthopedic procedures.
- Familiarity with musculoskeletal assessments and orthopedic treatment plans.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered orthopedic care.
