Orthopaedic Technologist

Orthopaedic Technologist for Duke Orthopaedics Clinic- Arringdon in Morrisville, NC. Works as a trained member of the orthopaedic team delivering patient care across inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR settings. Responsibilities include fabrication and removal of casts and splints, application and removal of braces, prosthetics, orthotics and orthoses; fabricating splints; wound care; measuring and documenting patient data; assisting physicians with fracture/dislocation reductions, aspirations, and injections; and developing educational materials using evidence-based information. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; preferred completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Technology program; two years of full-time orthopaedic experience; NBCOT certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
