Job Summary
Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Order and coordinate diagnostic studies including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, then develop treatment plans under physician supervision. Manage follow-up visits, provide patient education, and assist with preoperative and postoperative care while coordinating surgical clearances. Streamline patient evaluations to ensure all required information is available prior to surgical consultations, improving patient flow and efficiency. Work within Hudson Regional Health's unified network across Secaucus, Bayonne, Hoboken, and Jersey City campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- Current Physician Assistant license in the state of NJ
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C)
Desired Qualifications
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
