Job Summary
Evaluate patients, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Order and coordinate diagnostic studies including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans while developing treatment plans under physician supervision. Manage follow-up visits, provide patient education, and assist with preoperative and postoperative care. Coordinate surgical clearances and ensure all required information is available prior to consultations to improve patient flow and efficiency. Requires a Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited program, current NJ licensure, and PA-C certification. Flu vaccination is mandatory prior to hire.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- Current Physician Assistant license in the state of NJ
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (PA-C)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Influenza Vaccinations
Desired Qualifications
- Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
