Orthodontist (Wilmington, NC)

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations (including X-rays, impressions, and photographs), develop individualized treatment plans, and install/adjust orthodontic appliances (braces, retainers, clear aligners). Monitor progress, educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment when necessary. Maintain rigorous patient records, stay current with orthodontic advancements, and provide exceptional patient service in a pediatric-focused, clinician-led environment with mentoring from experienced doctors.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program
- Board certification in orthodontics
- Valid state dental license in good standing (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven experience working as an Orthodontist with a strong track record of successful orthodontic treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Dedication to staying current with advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles
