Job Summary
Orthodontics Treatment Coordinator role focusing on explaining and securing patient understanding of prescribed treatment, managing financial arrangements, guiding patients through the office flow to schedule follow-ups, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.). Requires strong communication, dental terminology fluency, familiarity with practice management systems, and ability to analyze insurance and financial information while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years’ experience in a dental office environment
- Familiarity with dental terminology to clarify treatment options
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Sales or other related degree (ideal)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Healthcare Practice Management systems
- Ability to interpret insurance plans and financial information
- Proven track record of productive relationships in a healthcare setting
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Superior patient experience skills and ability to explain treatment planning and acceptance
