Job Summary
Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and assist the orthodontist during procedures such as bonding, wire changes, and banding. Welcome and comfort patients, explain orthodontic procedures, and provide guidance on appliance care and oral hygiene. Take and process digital X-rays, photos, and impressions for study models and appliance fabrication, while maintaining accurate patient records and charting progress. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and manage dental emergencies with current CPR certification. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in a modern office with advanced dental technology. Required Qualifications
- One or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
- X-Ray certification, required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law
Desired Qualifications
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
