Ortho Uro Specialist - Midtown

Ortho-Uro Specialist (OUS) role in the Ortho Uro Specialists unit at Deaconess Midtown. Provides and documents specialized traction/cast/splint application and urological care under RN supervision; contributes to patient/family/employee instruction; maintains unit supplies and assists with equipment maintenance; participates in new product evaluation and ongoing skills/cepreceptor training. Responsibilities include input and guidance into orthopedic/urological patient care, completing yearly OUS skills evaluation, and meeting continuing education requirements. Qualifications include Basic Life Support (Health Care Provider) within six months of hire, high school education (GED) preferred, and completion of required PCT classes; on-the-job training and paid training are noted as pathways for entry-level candidates.
