Job Summary
Ortho Neuro Acute Care RN provides bedside nursing in a Medical-Surgical/Ortho-Neuro unit, conducting assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Responsible for coordinating with physicians and interdepartmental teams, supervising LPNs, and guiding Patient Care Assistants to support patient recovery. Works 12-hour shifts part time (.3 FTE) with holiday/weekend rotation; requires an Iowa RN license, BLS, and Mandatory Reporter training. Education: Associate degree required with BSN preferred; MercyOne emphasizes evidence-based practice and mission-driven patient care.
