Job Summary
Senior Bilingual Youth Care Worker at Sycamore Canyon Academy (Oracle, AZ). supervise youth, lead outdoor activities, help develop innovative programs, and support a holistic therapeutic/educational environment. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English, have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience in child welfare/agency settings, and meet internal qualification training (Tech 22) and health/safety checks. Schedule includes two shifts. Onsite housing and benefits provided. 21+ years old; background check, drug screen, TB test, and child abuse registry check required. Supervisory experience preferred; training within 6 months of placement.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- 1 year of working in a child welfare or agency setting
- Internal applicants must be a Coach Counselor with no less than standard performance and at least 90 days of experience at Rite of Passage in a Coach Counselor or higher Direct Care Position
- Staff in this position must have completed Initial Qualifications Training (Tech 22) prior to placement in this position
- Training within 6 months of placement in the position
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
- Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry
