Job Summary
Design and implement daily lesson and activity plans while supervising children and maintaining constant visual contact. Execute established curriculum guidelines to support physical, intellectual, social, cultural, and emotional well-being. Conduct systematic observations and evaluations of each child, assist in completing tasks including land and water-based activities, and maintain program records regarding attendance and health. Engage parents through conferences and volunteer opportunities, while keeping program areas neat and following all safety and regulatory policies. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with additional availability for staff meetings, trainings, special events, and camp days.
Required Qualifications
- Child Care Aide must be 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- School Age Child Care Clearance per NYS regulations
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
- Employee sexual harassment and child abuse prevention trainings
- Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities
- Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
- Vision, hearing, speech and movement abilities in order to provide safe supervision of children at all times
Desired Qualifications

- Experience working with kids
- Fun, energetic, team player who is creative and cares about children
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting
- Previous experience with diverse populations
