Job Summary
Senior ORION Spacecraft Technician Machinist responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CNC HAAS mills and turning centers, MasterCAM programming, and manual machines to fabricate aerospace-grade parts for Orion vehicles. Requires extensive CNC/manual machining experience, GD&T interpretation, fixture design, and meticulous inspection using micrometers, calipers, bore mics, with documentation and continuous-improvement focus to meet aerospace standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of CNC experience (programming, set-up, operator)
- Proficient in CNC programming and setup for 3/4-axis mills and 2-axis turning centers
- MasterCAM experience highly preferred
- Proficient in reading engineering prints with GD&T
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools for part inspections
Desired Qualifications
- CNC machining certification preferred
- MasterCAM programming experience preferred
