Job Summary
Organizing Lead responsible for resident engagement strategies to support voting programs at NYCHA. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engagement plans for developments where voting occurs, creating and delivering communication plans to motivate tenant participation, representing the Department of Voter Engagement at tenant meetings and community events, building relationships with tenant leaders and external stakeholders, monitoring engagement data and metrics, supporting leadership in long-term implementation strategy, and developing informational materials (flyers, posters, emails, etc.) to distribute to residents.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities related to the duties described; or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community-centered activities related to the duties as described; or Education and/or experience equivalent to (1) or (2) above, with at least one year of experience as described in (1).
- Experience in community engagement, resident outreach, and voter engagement is preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with tenants, leaders, and officials.
- Ability to develop and implement outreach strategies, materials, and information campaigns.
