Job Summary
The Organizer position involves representing members at grievance hearings, leading chapter meetings, conducting new member orientations, facilitating training for delegates, and ensuring the collective bargaining agreement is enforced. Candidates should have experience in union organization, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a commitment to building the Union while working diverse hours. Successful applicants will engage in significant advocacy and organizational activities within the healthcare sector.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Healthcare institution as a Union Organizer, Delegate or Activist preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Well Organized and commit to building the Union
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage time and priorities
- Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends
- Good listener; excellent verbal and written communication skills
