Job Summary
Responsible for supporting, organizing, conducting, and directing the Vituity HEART Thoracic Donor Organ Transplant Recovery Program, serving as a liaison between administration, surgical staff, medical staff, and quality-improvement activities to procure donor heart and lung grafts for thoracic transplantation. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws, ISHLT/UNOS guidelines, and organ procurement organization standards; participate in inspections and quality assurance initiatives; collaborate with physicians and transplant team to promote continuous improvement, training of nursing staff and clinical transplant coordinators, and ensuring tissue typing and organ procurement services are available. Maintain ongoing professional knowledge in thoracic transplant care, meet UNOS membership qualifications, and contribute to program operations, education, and safety across multiple sites. The role supports a traveling, nationwide schedule with local duties anchored at Everett, WA, and across Vituity’s network, with a focus on patient care, program coordination, regulatory compliance, and team collaboration. The position emphasizes autonomy, local control within a physician-owned partnership, and opportunities for professional growth within a distributed healthcare system.
